Seen Blue Conservation is an international non-profit organisation I founded in 2022 with a simple mission: to make nature conservation more accessible through storytelling.

Science tells us what is happening to our oceans and ecosystems. Stories help people understand why it matters.

My goal has always been to bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding by translating complex topics into engaging, creative and accessible content. At the heart of every project is the belief that conservation becomes more meaningful when we connect with the people behind the research, the communities protecting nature and the wildlife itself.

What began as a small collaboration between scientists and creatives has grown into an international volunteer team of 22 people, bringing together marine biologists, researchers, writers, designers, photographers, filmmakers and communicators from around the world.

As Director, I lead the organisation’s creative vision and strategic direction. I oversee our annual impact campaigns, editorial planning, partnerships, events and long-term impact goals while coordinating our international team and ensuring that every project aligns with our mission.

Today, Seen Blue Conservation produces:

• A weekly online conservation magazine featuring stories from researchers and conservationists worldwide.
• Annual impact campaigns, including Beaches & Beyond—a free, multilingual educational campaign helping Mediterranean beach visitors discover the marine life and coastal habitats around them through science-based resources, a podcast, educational posters and partnerships with NGOs, schools and tourism businesses.
• The Seen Blue Podcast, making marine science and conservation accessible through conversations between scientist Carina Zettel and myself.
• Free public festivals celebrating ocean conservation through film, photography, art, design and inspiring talks.

Everything we create is designed with one goal in mind: helping people connect with nature through stories that inspire understanding, curiosity and action.
